OK, no prizes for guessing as it was in the title of the presentation - I'm going to talk about fatigue.
My own experience of fatigue has been going on for three years and is down to sleep aponea, which is now under control - I have to sleep plugged into an air compressor, which my wife says makes me sound like Darth Vader - and latterly Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which, in my case, is the result of thyroid and adrenal issues that had been allowed to go on too long undiagnosed.
Whilst my fatigue is a chronic condition that may be cured in time, there are plenty of short-term issues that can have the same impact on the accessibility of Web content, such as jetlag, babies, etc.
It has been pointed out to me that from this standpoint, chronic pain and Attention Deficit Disorder may present similar issues to fatigue.
So, before we look at the significance of fatigue with regards to Web accessibility, let me go through some of the issues and incidents that fatigue has presented in everyday life. Slide please!
